French green beans
French beans’ immature pods are used both as cooked vegetable and salad. Mature strings become hard and fibrous, unfit for steaming or boiling. They are integral in oriental cookery. Sometimes they are also caramelized before use. They meet the daily recommendation of protein, folic acid, manganese, copper, foliage, and vitamin A, C, K and B6. They have anti-thrombotic effects, treat acid reflux, pre-natal care, and prevent osteoporosis. Fresh beans are harvested, freeze in-washed, blanched and IQFfreezed. The legumes are frozen in the stage of precise crisp flesh, contain very little added salt and freezing inhibits any bacterial growth.
